Comite de Familias en Accion has been part of an exciting economic development project on Main Street, Mesa. One of our goals as an organization is to provide affordable housing for our members, mostly low and moderate income residents in West Mesa.

We have been able to form a productive partnership with the West Mesa Community Development Corporation, the Mesa Grande Community Alliance, the Pepper Place neighborhood, and with financial support from NEDCO, United Way and Mesa CAN.

Along with ASU's Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family, we've been able to sponsor a series of community design workshops—a charrette—to design a mixed use/mixed income, green building, transit oriented development on the northwestern corner of Longmore and Main Street.

These pictures document the community process and the final project that we are working towards.
